Metamora Pool Code of Conduct
At the Metamora Pool, our priority is to provide a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience for all guests. By entering the facility, you agree to follow all posted rules and the directions of pool staff.
Help Us Keep the Pool Safe
All guests are expected to:
- Follow all instructions from lifeguards and pool staff immediately.
- Walk on the pool deck, running is not permitted.
- Respect other guests and staff by using appropriate language and behavior.
- Refrain from horseplay, pushing, fighting, dunking, rough play, or throwing objects.
- Keep the pool and facility clean. Spitting is not permitted.
- Stay off the top of the playground equipment. Climbing on top of the structure is prohibited.
- Use only Coast Guard-approved life jackets or flotation devices.
- Wear appropriate swim attire.
- Follow all posted pool rules and safety signage.
Facility Policies
To help maintain a safe and family-friendly environment:
- The Metamora Pool is a tobacco- and vape-free facility.
- Outside food and beverages are not permitted. Food and drinks purchased from the concession stand must remain in the concession area.
- No glass containers or weapons are allowed.
- Balls are not permitted. Water toys may be allowed with approval from the manager on duty.
- Strollers are welcome but must not block walkways and must remain at least 10 feet from the pool edge.
Pool Staff Authority
The safety of our guests is our highest priority. Metamora Pool staff have the authority to enforce all pool rules and safety policies.
Guests who fail to follow posted rules, disregard staff instructions, or engage in unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior may be:
- Given a verbal warning.
- Restricted from certain attractions or areas.
- Asked to leave the facility immediately.
- Subject to suspension or loss of pool privileges for repeated or serious violations.
Threatening, harassing, intimidating, or physically contacting an employee in an aggressive manner is prohibited and may result in immediate removal from the facility, suspension of Park District privileges, issuance of a no-trespass notice, and/or referral to law enforcement.
Failure to comply with staff directions may result in removal from the facility without a refund.

Tot Time
Calling all parents, grandparents, and caregivers! Join us for a fun and gentle morning swim during Tot Time — designed just for little ones ages 0–5 in our baby pool.

METAMORA AREA SWIM TEAM
The Metamora Swim Team is a community-based program that encourages youth to develop their swimming skills in a fun and supportive environment. Open to swimmers of all levels, the team focuses on technique, endurance, and teamwork while fostering a love for the sport. Participants have the opportunity to compete in local meets and improve their skills under the guidance of experienced coaches. Join us for a summer of fitness, friendship, and fun in the water!
