Black Partridge Park spans 450 acres in Metamora, Illinois, offering a diverse range of outdoor recreational opportunities for visitors of all ages. The park features well-maintained sports fields, playground equipment, pavilion facilities, and an extensive trail system, making it an ideal destination for family outings, sports activities, and nature exploration.

Trails & Outdoor Activities

The park is home to over 8 miles of singletrack trails developed in collaboration with the Peoria Area Mountain Bike Association (PAMBA). These trails wind through deep ravines, rolling hills, and wooded areas, providing a moderate challenge for both hikers and mountain bikers.

Black Partridge Park Woods Land and Water Reserve

A significant portion of the park is designated as a Land and Water Reserve, featuring steep ravines, mature forests, and a rich ecosystem that supports diverse plant and animal species. This area is perfect for nature enthusiasts interested in experiencing Illinois’ natural beauty up close.

Dog Park Rules

To help keep the park safe and enjoyable for everyone, please follow these guidelines:

Enter the park at your own risk.
Dogs must be licensed and vaccinated.
Dogs must remain under the owner's voice control and supervision at all times.
Owners must stay inside the fenced area while their dogs are using the park.
Aggressive dogs are not permitted. Remove your dog immediately if aggressive behavior occurs.
Puppies under four months of age should not use the dog park.
Female dogs in heat are prohibited.
Children should be closely supervised.
Clean up after your dog immediately.
Fill any holes your dog digs.
No food, glass containers, or smoking inside the fenced area.
Limit of three dogs per handler.
Leash your dog before entering and upon exiting the park using the double-gated entrance.
